VerifyAi was born from recognizing the everchanging dangers of our digitized world. The lack of digital literacy training and our fast-changing and ever-evolving digital world created
an environment ripe for a solution like VerifyAi. To create VerifyAi, our group participated in the human-centered design process. Our problem statement was, “How might we improve digital literacy for digital natives by helping them authenticate what is real and what is not?” Our problem statement led us to this digital literacy solution, “VerifyAi.”
Through moderated interviews and unmoderated surveys, we found that many participants had little to no
digital literacy training, and the recent release of AI-generated content, like deepfakes and ChatGPT, is causing a rise of fear in the general public. Our goal was to create a solution highlighting ease of use, trustworthiness, and education.
